ERIC THOMPSON'S
Priorities for Osborn Schools
Support Osborn teachers
We need to support our education professionals and trust their experience. Eric will advocate for their continued professional development in order to provide the best possible instruction for Osborn students.
Dual-language programs
Eric wants to support and promote the benefits of dual-language learning and showcase Osborn’s outstanding Spanish and English programs.

Health and safety
for all
We need to trust science and health experts when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic and other public health issues and work to ensure that students are learning in a safe environment.

Expand affordable
preschool
We need to offer more preschool opportunities, especially for low-income families in central Phoenix. Eric will push to make preschool available and affordable for all children.

Social and emotional learning
Students of all ages are struggling with mental health and social-emotional issues. We must provide necessary resources for them and the teachers and staff who support them.

Parental
leave for employees
Most school districts don't offer parental leave. Eric will push to change that so new parents don't have to choose between taking the time they need with their families and getting a paycheck.

Equity
and
inclusion
We must provide equitable access that meets the needs of all Osborn students and families and supports them in the pursuit of academic and social development.

Advocate for more school funding
Arizona public schools have received too little funding for too long. Whether from the Legislature, school overrides or bonds, Eric will push for more funding to support Osborn's schools and students.
